Theocracy Warriors Rejected by New York’s 23rd Congressional District

NY-23rd, held by the GOP since the Civil War, rejected the theocracy warriors: Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Sarah Palin, and other supporters of the Conservative Party, described by the author of Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead as “not an American political party, but a religious party – A PHENOMENON FORBIDDEN BY THE CONSTITUTION.”

The theocracy warriors chased out pro-choice, pro-gay-rights State Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava, chosen by local GOP leaders as their nominee.

The theocracy warriors sought to dictate.

Kudos to NY-23rd for asserting their independence! Thank you for rejecting a party backed by a powerful institution which trumpets that Capitalism is worse than Marxism and that the only morality is altruism (self-sacrifice), blaming the PROFIT motive for all the world’s problems, and calling for a worldwide REDISTRIBUTION OF WEALTH by a world government as the solution.

The next time you hear Mr. Hannity say, “I am not a Republican; I am a Conservative” – remember that he craves to conserve, not the Declaration of Independence, but, the Dark Ages. When the theocracy warriors speak of capitalism - remember that they mean self-sacrifice.

Never forget: the theocracy warriors quote the Founders as camouflage – remember that they spurn the freedom of choice: the right to the pursuit of one’s own happiness.

Well, amidst your hysterical rantings you seem to have missed that the district has had democratic party congressmen along the way. That Deedee Scozzafava was a corrupt insider and big government advocate that New York's state republican party selected to run amidst a climate when people are taking to the streets to protest government spending and corruption. And, of course, that she turned right around and stumped for the democratic candidate, who conducted his campaign as the conservative candidate (in opposition to Dee Scozzafava). I think the real lesson to be taken is that there isn't much of a difference between democrats and republicans. Oh, and that you randroids need to get out more.

When did NY-23rd have Democrat Congressmen? My source for "since the Civil War"is CNN.

Both Democrats and Republicans are anti-capitalism. US taxpayers are under a bipartisan dictatorship.

The arrogance of Palin and company to dictate! Palin, Armey, Pawlenty, et al are not even from NY. They would destroy the Republican Party if they cannot impose their theocratic agenda.

The theocracy warriors try to spin their defeat. Evasion and face saving.

I hope Republicans will save their Party by booting out the Conservatives: those who crave to impose their moral values (refer to the encyclicals) and those who think regulations belong in capitalism.

CNN isn't terribly careful. The 23rd NY last had a democratic congressman in the 80s or 90s (I'm guessing their source was Nancy Pelosi). I suppose what amuses me about your hysterical cries about "theocracy warriors" is that for all intents and purposes there's really no difference between american evangelicals and atheists. You're all off your rockers.

If the republicans "save their party" by throwing out conservatives, what they'll be left with is essentially a third party. Which isn't a bad thing as it would open the field for a paleo-conservative movement to take the place of the republican party, pushing a pro-market, anti-war agenda. I'm not holding my breath though.

If one respects the separation of church and state, his stand on faith is no one's business.

I don't respect the state at all. I'm a market anarchist.

I am for the Declaration of Independence: the only purpose of law and of government is the protection of individual rights.

the fact of the matter is, people havent learned a thing since the Civil war era. Both sides were christian, and although one was for slavery, and the other side was not, both sides fought for Jesus. So, People have to learn to give up christianity for good, or history will go around and around until someone gets the bigger picture. All of christianity is the real issue here, liberal christians are just going to create fundie kids......

A Conservative Party exists. It has been rejected by America again and again, most recently by New York’s 23rd Congressional District, in 2009 & 2010. Conservatives have invaded the Republican Party.

The Conservative Party is “not an American political party, but a religious party – A PHENOMENON FORBIDDEN BY THE CONSTITUTION.” It craves to conserve, not the Declaration of Independence, but, the DARK-AGES.
