The Republicans on the Texas Board of Education are THEOCRACY WARRIORS! They "managed to cut Thomas Jefferson from a list of figures whose writings inspired revolutions in the late 18th century and 19th century..."

Thomas Jefferson: author of the Declaration of Independence, the Father of religious freedom (Virginia is the first society on Earth to have religious freedom), the advocate of the Bill of Rights, and the President who abolished the slave trade in the US.

To cut Thomas Jefferson is to cut REASON and EQUAL INHERENT INALIENABLE RIGHTS. These Republicans are moral descendants of DARK AGES tyrants. To stop the march of theocracy, the Republican and Conservative Parties must end.
