I dream that music would be put to exalted words by or about beau ideals to regenerate interest in their principles. I conceptualized The Pursuit of Happiness Album. This is the 7th song:
All Honor to Thomas Jefferson
Abraham Lincoln extolled:
"The principles of Jefferson
Are the definitions and axioms of free society…
All honor to Jefferson - to the man,
Who in the concrete pressure of a struggle
For national independence by a single people,
Had the coolness, forecast, and sagacity
To introduce into a merely revolutionary document
An abstract truth, applicable to all men and all times,
And so embalm it there that to-day and in all coming days
It shall be a rebuke and a stumbling-block
To the very harbingers of reappearing tyranny and oppression.”
"I have never had a feeling politically that did not spring
From the sentiments embodied in the Declaration of Independence."
Ayn Rand said, “Definitions are the guardians of rationality,
The first line of defense against the chaos of mental disintegration…”
Axioms are perceptual self-evidencies.
They are the starting points of cognition, on which all proofs depend.
Axiomatic concepts are the foundation of objectivity.
Ayn Rand’s most admired Founder is Thomas Jefferson.
She worshipped, "If it is ever proper for men to kneel,
We should kneel when we read the Declaration of Independence…
Probably the greatest document in human history,
Both philosophically and literarily."
The author of the Declaration of Independence,
The Father of religious freedom,
The advocate of the Bill of Rights,
The President who abolished the slave trade –
Slavery was obtruded on the Colonies by King George III.
Jefferson inherited slaves - it was against the law to free them.
When it was permitted for the self-supporting,
Freed slaves must leave the State within a year.
In 1769: Chosen for the first time to be a member of a legislature,
Thomas Jefferson made one effort in the House of Burgesses
For the permission of the emancipation of slaves,
But was rejected.
In 1770: As a lawyer, Thomas Jefferson defended a slave,
Saying: under the law of nature, “we are all born free.”
In 1776: He strongly condemned slavery
In his draft of the Declaration of Independence.
In 1778: The legislature passed a bill he proposed
To ban further importation of slaves into Virginia.
In 1784: His draft of what became the Northwest Ordinance
Stipulated that "there shall be neither slavery nor involuntary servitude"
In any of the new states admitted to the Union from the Northwest Territory.
In 1806: President Jefferson requested Congress
To ban all slave importation to the US.
In 1807: President Jefferson signed a bill
Abolishing the slave trade –
On March 3, 1807, as President of the USA,
Thomas Jefferson signed a bill
Making slave importation
Illegal in the United States.
Jefferson successfully abolished primogeniture in Virginia,
The rule by which the first born son inherited all the land.
His December 20, 1787 letter to James Madison
Contains objections to key parts of the new Federal Constitution.
Primarily, Jefferson noted the absence of a bill of rights…
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will
Within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others.
I do not add 'within the limits of the law'
Because law is often but the tyrant's will,
And always so when it violates the rights of the individual."
"A wise and frugal Government,
Which shall restrain men from injuring one another,
Shall leave them otherwise free to regulate
Their own pursuits of industry and improvement,
And shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned.
This is the sum of good government."
"The first principle of association –
The guarantee to every one
Of a free exercise of his industry
And the fruits acquired by it."
While abolishing ALL excise taxes
Including the whiskey tax
In the first year of his first presidency,
While engaging in the Barbary War
Within two months of his first presidency,
And then spending $15 million
In the Louisiana Purchase
To double the then size of the USA,
Jefferson reduced the national debt
From $83 million to $57 million.
Thomas Jefferson said every word in the Constitution
Is subsidiary only to the execution
Of the principles enshrined in the Declaration of Independence:
First: Equal Inherent Inalienable Rights,
Second: The only proper function of law and of government
Is "to secure these rights."
Abraham Lincoln extolled:
"The principles of Jefferson
Are the definitions and axioms of free society…
All honor to Jefferson…”

The Gettysburg Address
I dream that music would be put to exalted words by or about beau ideals to regenerate interest in their principles. I conceptualized The Pursuit of Happiness Album. This is the 8th song:
The Gettysburg Address
“Four score and seven years ago
Our fathers brought forth on this continent,
A new nation, conceived in Liberty,
And dedicated to the proposition
That all men are created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great civil war,
Testing whether that nation, or any nation
So conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.
We are met on a great battle-field of that war.
We have come to dedicate a portion of that field,
As a final resting place for those who here gave their lives
That that nation might live.
It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate –
We can not consecrate -- we can not hallow -- this ground.
The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here,
Have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract.
The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here,
But it can never forget what they did here.
It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here
To the unfinished work which they who fought here
Have thus far so nobly advanced.
It is rather for us to be here dedicated
To the great task remaining before us –
That from these honored dead we take increased devotion
To that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion –
That we here highly resolve
That these dead shall not have died in vain –
That this nation, under God,
Shall have a new birth of freedom –
And that government
Of the people, By the people,
For the people,
Shall not perish from the Earth.”

O Captain! My Captain!
I dream that music would be put to exalted words by or about beau ideals to regenerate interest in their principles. I conceptualized The Pursuit of Happiness Album. This is the 9th song:
O Captain! My Captain!
O Captain! My Captain! Our fearful trip is done;
The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won;
The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,
While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring:
But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.
O Captain! My Captain! rise up and hear the bells;
Rise up — for you the flag is flung — for you the bugle trills;
For you bouquets and ribboned wreaths — for you the shores a-crowding;
For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;
Here Captain! Dear father!
This arm beneath your head;
It is some dream that on the deck,
You’ve fallen cold and dead.
My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;
My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;
The ship is anchored safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;
From fearful trip, the victor ship, comes in with object won;
Exult, O shores, and ring, O bells!
But I, with mournful tread,
Walk the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead.

Pay the Freedom-Debt Forward
I dream that music would be put to exalted words by or about beau ideals to regenerate interest in their principles. I conceptualized The Pursuit of Happiness Album. This is the 13th song:
Pay the Freedom-Debt Forward
To the principle of Individual Rights
We owe our joy, wealth, Life
Secure the Declaration by moral might
Honor freedom: pay the debt forward.
Fight! That the Founders live on
Think! That innocents will breathe reason
Extol precious Liberty! By right: cheer
To freedom lovers: Happiness is dear.
Benjamin Franklin, polymathic politician and inventor
Described his social invention in 1784:
"I do not pretend to give such a Sum; I only lend it to you.
When you… meet with another honest Man in similar Distress,
You must pay me by lending this Sum to him;
Enjoining him to discharge the Debt by a like operation,
When he shall be able, and shall meet with another opportunity.
I hope it may thus go thro' many hands,
Before it meets with a Knave that will stop its Progress.
This is a trick of mine
For doing a deal of good with a little money."
Ben Franklin prayed for the spread of Liberty:
"Where liberty dwells, there is my country....
God grant that not only the love of liberty
But a thorough knowledge of the rights of man
May pervade all the nations of the earth,
So that a philosopher may set his foot
Anywhere on its surface and say:
This is my country."
"The liberties of our Country,
The freedom of our civil constitution
Are worth defending at all hazards,”
Said Boston Tea Party organizer Samuel Adams.
“We have receiv'd them as a fair Inheritance
From our worthy Ancestors:
They purchas'd them for us with toil and danger
And expense of treasure and blood;
And transmitted them to us with care and diligence.
It will bring an everlasting mark of infamy on the present generation…
If we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle;
Or be cheated out of them by the artifices of false and designing men….
Let us contemplate our forefathers and posterity;
And resolve to maintain the rights bequeath'd to us from the former, …
If we suffer tamely a lawless attack upon our liberty, we encourage it,
And… millions yet unborn may be the miserable sharers of the event."
Thomas Jefferson said: “Honor, justice, and humanity,
Forbid us to tamely surrender that freedom
Which we received from our gallant ancestors,
And which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us.
We cannot endure the infamy and guilt
Of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness
Which inevitably awaits them
If we basely entail hereditary bondage on them.”
The American Revolutionaries lit the Freedom Torch
Swear to keep Liberty aflame, they sought
Pay the Freedom-debt forward, Dear Americans
Go Liberty! Through many hands and lands!

Speech and Press Infringement by the Private Sector
Dear Freedom Fighters and The American Civil Liberties Union,
The principle of Individual Rights mandates that no individual may violate the equal inherent inalienable rights of another. Yet, private businesses dictate what their employees may say or do outside the work sphere.
For my continued employment at a private company, I was told to take down my blog and to stop marketing my novels though I use a penname and I’ve never mentioned publicly whom I work for. The following is an example of what an employee is NOT permitted to post on the internet on his own time, using his own resources, and outside of his job responsibility: “I think the financial services industry is over-regulated and should be governed by market forces only.”
I cannot affirm rights infringement, thus my employment has been terminated. I hope you will help me uphold freedom.
Many thanks,
Ilyn Ross

To Ms. Barbara Bush: Not Yours to Give by Davy Crockett
In this video, Ms. Barbara Bush, daughter of President George W. Bush, agrees with Speaker Nancy Pelosi that healthcare is a right. Ms. Bush is glad Obamacare passed. The twin Bush sisters say they are not interested in politics. This explains Ms. Barbara Bush's understanding of Rights. Politics is not "a run for public office" - This is from my novel, Royal Serf:
Ms. Bush, Thomas Jefferson and his kind disagree with you and Speaker Pelosi:
Picture a five-storey building. The fourth floor is politics, where how man should treat other men is determined. Politics, the fourth branch of philosophy, defines the principles of a proper social system. The politics floor rests on the third floor, ethics or morality, the code of values to guide man’s choices and actions in determining the purpose and the course of his life. The third floor rests on the second floor, epistemology, which is also called the reason-and-logic floor. In turn, the reason-and-logic floor rests on the first floor and the building’s foundations: metaphysics - the study of existence, nature, metaphysical reality.
A political principle that does not rest on ethics is like the fourth floor of a building floating on air. Ethics or a morality code without an epistemological and metaphysical base is like a table with no legs. The proper code of values is established by means of reason in accordance with logic and in consonance with man’s nature.
Ms. Bush, Thomas Jefferson and his kind disagree with you and Speaker Pelosi:
"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual." -- Thomas JeffersonIndependent equals do not have slaves that would provide manmande values like healthcare. Capitalism, the separation of state and economics, is the only social system accordant with Rights. I hope Ms. Bush would ponder the Founding principles and this Davy Crockett video entitled, Not Yours to Give.

Science on Abortion
One’s personal stand on abortion, on faith, or on anything is no one’s business.
But collectivists reject the hands-off, nonintervention, noninterference imperative in freedom. Power-lusters find ways to obtrude upon others. Antiabortionists claim that the human zygote is alive, thus, abortion is murder. To be considered alive, an object must exhibit all of the characteristics of living things, namely (reference):
To be able to respond to its environment, a human being must be sentient. A human zygote or embryo is not sentient because its brain is undeveloped. A person with no brain activity is considered by the medical profession to be no longer alive. It follows that since an embryo has no brain activity, it is not yet alive (reference).
A thing not alive has no rights. It cannot be murdered. To use the term murder to a thing not alive is to wipe out all definitions and all justice.
One who blanks out the life of the pregnant human being, one who champions destroying the life of an actual human being, most of the time: a young girl, one who advocates force – who advocates forcing a female human being to go through a lifetime paying for a mistake - is certainly not pro-life. He/She is no rights-respecter.
To spurn scientific evidence and hold that a female human being loses her rights to her own body and her own life when she gets pregnant - that she has no window to change course – is a mark of evil. The claim that a zygote or an embryo is a baby is akin to the claim that the sun revolves around the Earth.
By nature, man is fallible. For the pregnant, there is a window to change course. This is based on science, i.e. reason. It is consistent with the concept of a benevolent God. Abortion is safe during the embryonic stage, the pre-fetal stage, when brain activity is still nonexistent. It is no longer safe after the onset of brain activity.
Having a baby is a great responsibility. One can’t renege on it. Antiabortionists mention adoption as an alternative to abortion. A baby is an actual human being and giving one's baby up for adoption is 24/7 torture for life. It takes cruelty to impose a tortured life on a mother and the baby she would bear.

Antiabortionists claim that the human zygote is alive, thus, abortion is murder. To be considered alive, an object must exhibit all of the characteristics of living things, namely (reference):
• Living things are made of cells.
• Living things obtain and use energy.
• Living things grow and develop.
• Living things reproduce.
• Living things respond to their environment.
• Living things adapt to their environment.
